Hospital Operations Manager/ Registered Manager - Up to £60,000 Plus Bonus (Depending on Experience) - Full time

The team seeks an experienced CQC Registered Manager / Operations Manager to provide leadership and management to help the hospital achieve its goals in a quality-driven, efficient, safe, profitable, and effective working environment, while fostering a motivated, happy, and committed team.

General Principles of the Role
  • Positively promote Plastic Surgery Hospital at all times.
  • Drive and develop new services within the facility.
  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the facility.
  • Exhibit expertise in business development and growth.
  • Maintain and enhance existing 5-star services.
  • Advance high-quality patient experiences.
  • Take initiative on team-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Director for decision-making.
  • Foster a positive and constructive atmosphere.
  • Continuously review and implement clinic policies.
  • Lead the team effectively.

Hospital Operations Manager/ Registered Manager Key Responsibilities Business Development
  • Maintain, develop, and market both new and existing services.
  • Create relevant marketing and promotional materials.
  • Promote the clinic through events such as open evenings.
  • Develop opportunities for new specialties to join the hospital.
  • Liaise with local NHS ICBs and Foundation Trusts for growth opportunities.
  • Handle contract negotiations for new services.
  • Manage admitting rights for new surgeons.
  • Ensure marketing practices adhere to regulatory standards.
Financial Performance
  • Manage payroll and maintain accurate records.
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth and cost control, tracking metrics like profit margins and patient numbers.
  • Work with accountants to keep practice accounts updated.
  • Oversee billing and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor procurement and inventory.
CQC Compliance
  • Act as the Registered Manager for CQC compliance.
  • Understand and fulfill regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of clinic policies.
  • Ensure comprehensive evidence collection for CQC needs.
  • Conduct and monitor audits effectively.
Health & Safety
  • Oversee health and safety measures in collaboration with staff.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage findings.
  • Maintain infection control and a safe working environment.
  • Ensure fire safety measures are in place and risks are managed.
Facilities Management
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Manage operational aspects of the building, including security, access, and maintenance.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant equipment and facility legislation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as needed.
Human Resources
  • Oversee recruitment and personnel management, ensuring compliance checks are completed.
  • Provide staff training and development.
  • Conduct appraisals and manage HR policies effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for staff and visiting clinicians.
  • Coordinate staff leave and cover arrangements.
Organizational Responsibilities
  • Generate performance reports and project activity.
  • Chair and participate in key meetings.
  • Keep staff informed on policy changes and actions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as needed.
Role Details
  • Minimum 3 years as a Senior Manager or Hospital Manager in a private surgical facility.
  • Proven expertise in business development and growth.
  • Preferred: Existing CQC Registered Manager (not essential).
