Role Overview:
As a Junior Fertility Nurse, you will provide crucial support and guidance to our patients, ensuring they feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for. This role is ideal for a nurse with compassion, discretion, and a patient-first mindset, looking to grow in the field of fertility nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venepuncture and blood tests with accuracy
- Address patient concerns with empathy, providing clear and informed responses
- Conduct assessments and consultations
- Assist in theatre procedures such as egg collections and embryo transfers
- Act as a scrub and circulator in the procedure room
- Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient
- Provide staff coverage during absences or emergencies
- Maintain a sterile and hygienic theatre environment
- Dispense medications accurately and ensure patient compliance
- Foster a calming and welcoming atmosphere for patients
Junior Fertility Nurse Requirements:
- Relevant nursing qualification
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in fertility nursing (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patient-focused care
- Basic proficiency with computer applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support the team
