Job Setting
My client requires a dedicated Mental Health Nurse Acute to work within a Private Mental Health Hospital in Birmingham, West Midlands. My client provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care, specialist Eating Disorder and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. Acer Acute Ward is an acute ward which aims to focus on the recovery of the patient group. The primary function of the Acute ward is to be outward community facing and assist with getting patients back home or to an appropriate places. You will have excellent clinical skills and a naturally caring approach.

Mental Health Nurse Acute Skills and responsibilities
  • Monitoring blood sugar levels and IV
  • Wound management
  • Administering oxygen
  • Putting together treatment plans
  • Overseeing a team of care assistants
  • Liaising with GP and multi-disciplinary team

Mental Health Nurse Acute Requirements
  • Hold a relevant nursing qualification
  • Be registered with the NMC as RMN or RNLD with 12 months post qualifying experience
  • Have satisfactory references
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to improving quality
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication
