Job Setting
A versatile care home in Spalding, Lincolnshire, with an ideal living environment for those with daily care needs, including residential and nursing, specialist dementia care and support for adults with a physical disability, requires a dedicated Staff Nurse. You will have excellent clinical skills and a naturally caring approach.

Staff Nurse Skills and responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the company's procedures and NMC guidelines,
  • Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Registered Manager,
  • Assess social and health care needs of new residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents,
  • Report any ill health amongst clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary,
  • Ensure that clients' care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and any other Health Care Professionals,
  • Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate,
  • To build and maintain long standing relationship with residents with a variety of needs,
  • To understand residents likes/dislikes and needs throughout the day as it can be daunting for them having different procedures carried out.

Staff Nurse Requirements
  • Hold a relevant nursing qualification
  • Be registered with the NMC for a minimum of 1 year
  • Have satisfactory references
  • Have the right to work in the UK
