About the Clinic:

Both branches are independent, family-operated clinics. The team consists of three veterinary surgeons, three full-time qualified and registered veterinary nurses, two receptionists, and a practice manager. With low staff turnover, clients can regularly interact with familiar, experienced professionals, fostering a personal and trusting relationship between you and your pet.

As a registered training practice, the clinic has been training Veterinary Nurses for over 12 years. When junior staff are in training, they are supported by more experienced team members to ensure high-quality care is maintained.

Responsibilities:
As a key member of the veterinary team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
  • Monitoring and caring for small animal patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
  • Conducting health checks and maintaining detailed medical records.
  • Providing compassionate support to pet owners, addressing their concerns, and offering post-operative care advice.
  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and sample collection.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification, with active RCVS registration.
  • Prior experience working in a small animal clinic or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in nursing skills, including catheter placement, bandaging, and administering medications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with pet owners.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional care to furry patients and their owners.
