Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RGN/Unit Manager to join our team in London, NW2. The successful candidate will have strong skills in clinical practice and RGN, with a proven track record of leading a team and supporting the Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing and support staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Support the Deputy Manager in the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor the quality of care provided.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents.
- Liaise with medical professionals, residents, and their families to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
- Participate in recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of staff.
- Handle any clinical issues that arise, providing hands-on support and intervention as required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with a valid NMC PIN.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and continuous improvement.
