Position: Senior Staff Nurse - Days or Nights

Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £22.40 Per Hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

HRN are looking for a Registered Nurse to cover 37.5 per week for a valued client in the St Neots, Cambridgeshire area. This is a medium sized neurological, dementia and stroke care nursing home which has just been purchased by my client and as a result significant investment is being made into the service starting with adding a number of high calibre nursing staff.

This is a privately owned which has had its challenges under the previous ownership, there are several changes which have already taken place including the addition of a clinically qualified, strong and experienced Registered Manager who has a fantastic track record of success now we are in the process of restoring the home to fulfill its potential.

Duties will include:

  • Working under the guidance of an experienced and well-respected manager
  • Delivering high standards of care to mainly elderly service users with a range of general nursing needs
  • Creating and working with person-centred-care plans
  • Accurately and thoroughly maintaining service users records
  • Administering medication
  • Monitoring and assessing the needs of the service users
  • Lead a team of carers who are working under your guidance
  • Liaising with outside professionals

You must:

  • Be nurse qualified (ideally RGN)
  • Have strong clinical skills
  • Have a clean DBS and good references
  • Be aware of the core care standards required to work within a nursing home setting
  • Ideally experienced within a nursing home background
  • Have exceptional standards and a willingness to put the care of the residents at the forefront of everything that is done
  • Have a professional attitude to your work
  • Reliable, committed to your nursing and able to evidence strong personal standards
  • Experience of caring people with dementia
