Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at a high dependency nursing home located in Kempston, Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their health and well-being are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a high dependency setting.
- Administer medications, including insulin injections, and manage PEG feeds.
- Insert, manage, and monitor catheters.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of residents’ health and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor and document residents’ conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
- Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Proven experience in a nursing home or high dependency care setting.
- Proficiency in PEG feeds, insulin injections, and catheter management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
