About Us:
We are a dynamic and compassionate charity dedicated to improving the lives of animals and supporting our local community. With two thriving sites, our mission is not only to provide high-quality veterinary care to cats and dogs, but also to offer preventative services to local pet owners. Our focus is on creating a positive and lasting impact, both for the animals we care for and the people we serve.
As a not-for-profit organization, we pride ourselves on our collaborative and supportive culture, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in both your professional and personal life.

You’ll be an integral part of shaping the future of the charity, driving our mission forward while fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinic operations, from day-to-day management to strategic planning. This role will also involve managing and mentoring our current team, including vets, nurses, and receptionists, while ensuring that we continue to deliver outstanding care and service to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the clinic, ensuring high standards of veterinary care for all animals in our care.
- Oversee a dedicated team of 1 receptionist, 1 head nurse, 2 nurses, and 2 vets.

- Manage clinic budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with charity leadership on strategy and growth initiatives.
- Implement and maintain operational processes to ensure high efficiency and quality of service.
- Support the team in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Qualified Vet Surgeon with a minimum of 4-5 years of clinical experience (including sole charge).
- Previous management or project lead experience – ideally in a veterinary or charity setting.
- A pragmatic and proactive approach, able to balance clinical responsibilities with management duties.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and lead a small team effectively.
- Experience with or an understanding of working in a charity or community-focused environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with a passion for working with both animals and people.
- Generous Salary Package: £60,000 - £80,000 depending on experience.
- Fantastic Work-Life Balance: 35-hour working week with flexible start times, Monday off, and 3 Saturday mornings every two months.
- Holiday Benefits: 32 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) + a special day off for your birthday.
- Pension Scheme: Helping you save for the future.
- Make a Difference: Work for a charity where your expertise and compassion will directly impact the lives of animals and the community.
