Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer – Prestigious Independent Hospital – Up to £50,000 p/a DOE

Contract: Permanent, 22.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer to join the multidisciplinary team at our client’s hospital providing Cardiac Investigation services to both Outpatients and Inpatients. This role involves delivering high-quality, cost-effective Cardiac Investigation services, performing examinations as required by Consultants, and producing accurate imaging and reports in accordance with British Society of Echocardiography standards and UK guidelines.

Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer  - Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with GP practices and educate on services and referral pathways
  • Support the growth and development of the Cardiac Investigations Service
  • Assist the Imaging Manager in creating policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Audit Programs
  • Participate in quality assurance and audit programs
Cardiac Physiologist/Echocardiographer  - Requirements
  • Certificate of qualification as a Cardiac Physiologist
  • Current British Society of Echocardiography accreditation
  • Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience
  • Proficiency with ECG, Echocardiography, and Holter Monitoring
  • Skills in Pacing Checks, Exercise Treadmill Tests, and Implantable Loop Recorders (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in writing policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Previous management or leadership experience (desirable)
  • Other relevant professional memberships or post-graduate certificates (e.g., BHRS) are desirable
