Senior Staff Nurse- Cosmetics at Fantastic Private Hospital - Salary up to £40,000 - Full-Time Role

This Private Hospital is currently recruiting for a registered nurse to join their fantastic Inpatients department. Within the service(s), the Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) will be a member of the team, working within their scope of practice at all times under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Consultant Surgeon(s) to provide care and support to patients undergoing outpatient and inpatient consultations and surgery.

About the role
  • Be a positive role model for the service and to staff, and will be a patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience
  • Provide sound knowledge and support, including planning and delivering patient care and supporting treatment and aftercare as required by the role
  • Work within a governance framework and adhere to national/local regulatory requirements and clinical and professional standards
  • Maintain own clinical competency, ensuring evidence of continued learning and development relevant to the role
  • Provide support and supervision to junior staff as may be required
  • Promote high quality clinical care and assist in the development of the cosmetic service
  • Report to the Clinical Nurse Specialist, taking delegated responsibility in their absence

Skills and experience required
  • First Level Registered Nurse with supporting evidence of CPD and Revalidation.
  • Healthcare degree or equivalent.
  • Enhanced knowledge and experience of working within surgical nursing environment.
  • Evidence of enhanced knowledge of wound care/tissue viability or willingness to undertake training.
  • Preoperative Assessment experience or willingness to undertake training.
  • Phlebotomy/ECG skills.
  • ILS training.
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational planning and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude.
  • Methodical & pays attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong patient centred approach.
  • Sound computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as be able to work autonomously.
  • Experience of Audit or willingness to undertake learning.
