Clinical Specialist - Hand Therapy – Bromley – up to £52,000 pro rata (DOE)

Part-Time, Permanent

We are seeking a Clinical Specialist in Hand Therapy to join a leading independent healthcare provider in the UK, known for its network of hospitals and clinics. This part-time role is for 23 hours per week with flexible shift patterns. The successful candidate will join the Physiotherapy department, contributing to the delivery of high-quality hand therapy services.

Clinical Specialist  - Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with hand and wrist conditions, covering outpatient, inpatient, pre-admission, and follow-up care as appropriate.
  • Engage with the Upper Limb Services Manager to ensure clinical support, peer review, and continuous professional development.
  • Actively participate in the promotion and development of the hand therapy service, collaborating with marketing teams, consultants, and GP referrers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, best practices, and quality standards.
Clinical Specialist  - Key Requirements:
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, guidelines, and their implications for practice.
  • Familiarity with the Care Standards Act and Care Quality Commission requirements.
  • Advanced training or recognised qualifications in hand therapy (e.g., BAHT Level I or equivalent, plus further formal education in hand therapy).
  • Strong organisational, planning, and risk management skills.
  • Proficiency in PC use, including relevant software and systems.
  • A professional and enthusiastic attitude with a proactive approach to patient care and service development.
