Role: Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: £53,000 - £55,700 (dependent on experience) + benefits
Location: South East London
Introduction: We are thrilled to offer a dynamic opportunity for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (equivalent to Band 7) to join our client's exceptional therapy team. Their unit, renowned for its advanced neurorehabilitation services, is seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to our innovative and patient-focused environment.
The Candidate: We are looking for a passionate individual with extensive experience in neurorehabilitation, particularly in managing cognitive communication difficulties. The ideal candidate will possess a robust clinical background and a commitment to delivering top-notch care in a supportive, multidisciplinary team setting.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed to suit personal and professional needs.
Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist -
Requirements:
·HCPC registration
·Proven experience in a neurorehabilitation setting
·Expertise in aphasia, cognitive communication disorders, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia
·Specialist-level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
·Experience in formal supervision/line management
·Enhanced DBS clearance required
Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist -
Duties:
·Delivering specialist SLT assessment and treatment for patients with neurological and acquired brain injuries
·Developing evidence-based therapy programs with a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration
·Leading communication therapy groups independently
·Maintaining high clinical care standards in line with national guidelines
·Supervising junior SLTs and assistants as needed
·Contributing to policy and service development initiatives
·Ensuring compliance with all relevant codes of practice
