We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our client's dedicated neuro-rehabilitation team, supporting adults with complex disabilities, including acquired brain injuries, stroke, and neuro conditions.
Located at their state-of-the-art 48-bed rehabilitation center in Surrey, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives through specialized speech, language, and swallowing interventions.
Senior Speech and Language Therapist - Job Purpose
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
- Provide individualized therapy to adults with acquired communication, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties.
- Conduct neurorehabilitation assessments and treatments for clients on the stroke and neuro pathways, both in residential settings and as outpatients.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists.
- Offer guidance to clients, their families, and staff on managing dysphagia and other communication challenges.
- Develop and implement speech and language therapy programs tailored to client needs, in consultation with senior SLTs.
- Be part of a growing team that values evidence-based, client-centered care.
- Enjoy the support of our experienced SLT team in completing dysphagia competencies and attending VF clinics for referred clients.
- Participate in our key therapist/worker program to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
- Access regular supervision, reflective practice, in-house training, and CPD opportunities to support your professional growth.
- You are an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist with a strong interest in neurorehabilitation for clients with complex disabilities.
- Hold a degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy and have current HCPC registration.
- Are a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy and practice within professional guidelines.
- Possess knowledge of therapeutic interventions for neurorehabilitation and relevant experience in dysphagia management.
