Join a renowned private hospital in Hampshire as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP) within their dynamic Physiotherapy team. First Contact Practitioner - Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a First Contact Practitioner within the MSK service, collaborating with APPs, GPs, podiatrists, and physiotherapists.
• Perform advanced neuro-musculoskeletal assessments in GP settings, delivering precise diagnoses and management plans.
• Independently refer patients for diagnostics, including MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, and nerve conduction studies.
• Administer joint and soft tissue injections or develop this skillset.
• Provide clear communication to patients and healthcare professionals regarding care and treatment plans.
• Play an active role in developing clinical pathways and contributing to the growth of the MSK team.
• Triage MSK referrals and direct patients to appropriate care pathways.
• Uphold high standards of physiotherapy practice in line with CSP ‘Codes of Practice.’

First Contact Practitioner - Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years’ post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years in MSK.
• HCPC and CSP registered with a Physiotherapy degree (MSc preferred).
• Proven expertise in neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, diagnostic interpretation, and advanced decision-making.
• Qualified in injection therapy and trained in IRMER standards.
• Familiarity with current orthopaedic/MSK practices and research.
• Strong skills in clinical supervision and auditing to implement service improvements.
