Veterinary Surgeon – Ramsgate, UK - Up to £60,000 - Prestigious Independent Small Animal Practice

Salary: Up to £60k (DOE)
Hours: 4 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) – 10 hrs per day (9am to 7pm)

What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: Up to £60k, depending on experience.
  • Flexibility: 4 days per week with 10-hour shifts (9 am – 7 pm), covering Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
  • Occasional Saturday Phone Duty: Triaging emergency calls as needed. Further details will be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities: As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to small animals, including:
  • Consultations and Diagnostics: Conducting thorough health assessments, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
  • Surgical Procedures: Performing routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries, as well as handling emergency surgeries.
  • Emergency Care: Assessing and managing emergency situations and providing immediate care when necessary.
  • Client Communication: Educating pet owners on preventative care, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
  • Records Management: Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Working alongside a supportive team of veterinary professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
About You: We are looking for a skilled veterinary surgeon who is passionate about animal welfare and can confidently handle a variety of small animal cases. The ideal candidate will:
  • Be RCVS registered (or eligible to register).
  • Have experience with small animal consultations, diagnostics, surgery, and emergency care.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to both pets and their owners.
  • Be comfortable working independentlyand part of a team.
