Job Description:
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our specialist learning disability rehabilitation unit in Norfolk. The unit provides comprehensive care and support to adult females with a range of needs including autism, personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse and complex needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess patients' physical and mental health, documenting changes and communicating concerns to the relevant team members.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting understanding and engagement in their treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
- Adhere to all unit policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Pin.
- Experience working in a learning disability or mental health setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of care and promoting patient well-being.
