We are an independent 38-bedded mental health hospital located in Preston, providing high-quality care for individuals with complex mental health needs. Our facility is conveniently situated close to the M6 and M55, offering excellent transport links for staff.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse (RMN/RNLD) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our patients, ensuring their physical and mental well-being, and supporting them in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and report on patients' conditions, ensuring any changes are communicated to the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide support and guidance to patients, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high standards of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development programs.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with a valid NMC pin.
- Previous experience in a mental health setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
