Join Our Award-Winning Veterinary Team!

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our independent small animal practice in Cheshire. Whether you’re looking to develop your skills or enhance your career, we’re here to support you every step of the way!

About Us:
Our practice operates across two state-of-the-art sites. Our flagship hospital is RCVS-accredited and features a gold-standard cat-friendly clinic. With a comprehensive range of facilities, including two theatres, a dental suite, ultrasound, DR x-ray, laparoscope, endoscope, and an in-house lab with cutting-edge diagnostics, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care.
We also have a purpose-built, standalone practice, which offers the same high standards of care, with overnight inpatients transferred to our main hospital. Our goal is to provide excellent care for pets and their owners in a friendly, supportive, and professional environment.

Our Team:
Our team consists of eight dedicated vets, including Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Medicine, as well as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon. We’re also supported by a highly experienced front-of-house team, plus visiting specialists in Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging to ensure the best possible care for our patients.
Our nursing team of RVNs and SVNs play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Many hold additional qualifications in ECC. We foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where everyone supports each other – we truly value our team and work hard to promote both physical and mental wellbeing.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about providing high-quality first opinion care to our patients and clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and a great team player who truly cares for the welfare of our patients.
We offer excellent support for professional development, with opportunities to learn from highly skilled colleagues, tackle interesting and complex cases, and pursue post-graduate qualifications if desired.

Work-Life Balance:
Our vets enjoy a four-day week, plus two days off in lieu for working the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 8am–5pm). We operate a 1:8 rota and utilise a dedicated out-of-hours provider for on-call, ensuring your time outside of work remains your own. While our RVN team cares for inpatients, vets share responsibility for overnight inpatients on a 1:8 night rota.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary (£38,000–£70,000, depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Seven weeks’ holiday
  • Generous CPD budget with scheduled time for professional development
  • Dedicated admin time
  • Staff social club and regular team events
  • Access to trained mental health first aiders
  • Staff pet discounts
  • Paid memberships and pension
We truly value all of our team members and work hard to maintain a supportive, inclusive culture where work-life balance and job satisfaction are a priority.

Ready to make a difference?
If you’re a driven and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon looking for a fulfilling role within a dynamic, supportive team, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today to join our practice and take the next step in your veterinary career.
