Job Description:
A Staff Nurse is needed in a comfortable residential and nursing home based in Rustington, offering a talented and professional care team manning a facility with the capacity to care for sixty-two residents. The home's skilled carers can take on a number of complex personal care needs, such as people with Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke victims, head injuries and also palliative care where necessary,
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and monitoring.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Monitor residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the senior nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Support residents with daily activities, promoting independence and dignity.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Provide support and guidance to junior nursing staff and healthcare assistants.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid NMC pin.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
