Position Overview:
We are seeking a Theatre Practitioner – Recovery to join our dynamic Theatres team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a high standard of professional practice and clinical care. Collaboration with the theatre team is essential to foster a positive working environment and uphold a supportive learning atmosphere within the operating department.

Theatre Practitioner – Recovery Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Implement basic nursing care independently.
- Implement new/complex care with supervision.
- Practise in your clinical area of expertise to an agreed competency level.
- Utilise resources appropriately to ensure agreed standards of patient care.
- Delegate suitable clinical care to junior staff.
- Develop preceptorship skills and actively support peers.
- Effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
- Facilitate a question-and-answer dialogue with patients and relatives.
- Demonstrate strong listening skills and use of non-verbal cues.
- Evaluate written information and documentation effectively.
Theatre Practitioner – Recovery Key Requirements:
- RGN/ODP qualification.
- Minimum of six months post-registration experience.
- Basic theatre recovery skills.
- Up-to-date clinical knowledge.
- Familiarity with current programmes of care.
- Understanding of clinical governance frameworks.
