Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Worker to join our team at a purpose-built care home in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring night shifts for 36 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to residents during night shifts.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records as per care home policies.
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct regular checks on residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents, providing appropriate care and reporting to management.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in care planning and review meetings, contributing to the development of individual care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and care standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and dignity of all residents at all times.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior care worker role, preferably within a care home setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and cover additional hours if required.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and continuous professional development.
