Senior Speech and Language Therapist - Role Overview
As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
- Deliver tailored therapy to adults with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
- Conduct comprehensive neurorehabilitation assessments and interventions for stroke and neurological conditions, both in-house and on an outpatient basis.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists.
- Provide expert guidance to clients, families, and staff on managing dysphagia and communication needs.
- Design and implement therapy programs in consultation with senior SLTs to meet individual client goals.
- Team Support: Work alongside an experienced SLT team to refine your skills, including dysphagia competencies and VF clinics.
- Holistic Care: Participate in the key therapist/worker program, delivering integrated, client-centered support.
- Professional Development: Access reflective practice, regular supervision, in-house training, and CPD opportunities.
- Modern Facilities: Practice in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation setting designed for optimal client care.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy with current HCPC registration.
- Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT).
- Knowledge and experience in neurorehabilitation therapies and dysphagia management.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care aligned with professional standards and guidelines.
