Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team in Arnold, Nottingham. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) for both males and females experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute mental health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, documenting observations accurately.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Offer emotional support and therapeutic interventions to patients and their families.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, maintaining high standards of care.
- Engage in regular team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) qualification.
- Valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration.
- Previous experience in a mental health setting, particularly in inpatient acute or PICU, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts as required.
