As a practice committed to providing excellent care and constantly evolving to meet the needs of our local communities, we pride ourselves on our personal and professional service. Our clinics are well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment (Idexx and Axiom), and multi-parameter monitoring.

The Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate veterinary nurse to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied role that blends both clinical and administrative responsibilities, helping to ensure the smooth running of our prep-room, theatres, laboratory, and kennels. You’ll also play a key role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the veterinary team in consultations and house visits.
  • Carry out in-house lab work, including biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, and ear cytology.
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of X-ray, ultrasound, and lab equipment.
  • Provide excellent pre- and post-operative care for patients.
  • Assist with stock control, including controlled drugs.
  • Help with day-to-day tasks like answering phones, booking appointments, and keeping communal areas tidy.
  • Mentor and support junior team members and students.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • A proactive team player who is adaptable and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and use your initiative.
  • Flexibility to cover holidays or sickness when required.
  • Experience as a veterinary nurse is preferred, but we welcome applications from newly qualified RVNs.
  • A full driving license and your own transport are essential.
Why Join Us?
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • 4 weeks holiday (pro-rata) + bank holidays.

  • Flexible hours between 8 am – 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Staff discount scheme.
  • Work-based pension.
  • CPD encouraged and funded.
  • VDS fees paid, plus membership to a professional body (e.g. BVNA).
  • Access to practice vehicles for house visits.
