About the Role:
- Duties: You’ll be a key part of a supportive team, with a variety of responsibilities across multiple branches. Tasks include nurse consultations, admissions and discharges, anaesthetic monitoring, diagnostic tests (such as laboratory work and radiography), in-patient care, and ensuring a high standard of patient care throughout.
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9am to 6pm, with one Saturday per month (9am to 1pm, with on-call duty). You’ll also participate in a 1:6 out-of-hours rota for nights and weekends (non-residential), providing support to the on-call vet. Mileage allowance provided for out-of-hours travel.
- CPD: Generous continuing professional development (CPD) allowance to support your growth and career progression, plus three additional days off annually by mutual agreement.
- Qualification: You’ll need to be a qualified Veterinary Nurse with the appropriate certifications and/or diplomas.
- Experience: Previous experience is preferred, but we welcome applications from new graduates who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic laboratory skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for animal care.
- Teamwork: You’ll need to work well under pressure and collaborate with both the team and pet owners to provide the best possible care. Flexibility is also essential to meet the clinic’s varied needs, including weekend and holiday shifts.
- Competitive salary range of £28,000 to £32,000 per year, depending on experience.
