Optometrist –  Prestigious Private Ophthalmic Clinic – Brighton and Hove Area – Up to £75,000 (Depending on Experience) – Full time

Optometrist Role
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll work alongside consultants, providing exceptional care to patients before and after surgery. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract surgery.
• Running acute and follow-up clinics for post-surgery patients, documenting findings in our electronic medical record system.
• Offering health advice and guidance to patients visiting the hospital.
• Providing first-line clinical advice and referring to medical practitioners when needed.
• Ensuring safe handling and use of clinical equipment within the competency framework.
• Staying up to date with CQC policies and attending mandatory update courses.

 
Optometrist Requirements
To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist.
• Extensive experience in a refractive, high street, or hospital optometry setting.
• Familiarity with patient administration systems and electronic medical records.
• Proven ability to meet conversion targets and KPIs within Vision Correction.
