About the Role
We are working with a fantastic Company who are looking for a Travel Health Nurse or Pharmacist to provide comprehensive travel health and occupational health services. This role involves risk assessments, patient advice, administering vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis, and other related medicines. You will ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain a safe and professional environment.

Travel Health Nurse or Pharmacist Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct travel health and occupational health risk assessments for clients in clinics, pharmacies, or remotely.
  • Provide travel and occupational health advice to patients.
  • Administer immunizations, anti-malarial prophylaxis, and other relevant medicines under Patient Group Directions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using the Travel Health Clinic software.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the smooth operation of the clinic or healthcare service.
  • Assist with clinical audits and contribute to service development projects.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Attend professional study days as recommended by the Travel Health Clinic.
  • May involve some direct line management responsibilities.
  • Act as an advocate for patients, customers, and families.
  • Support business objectives by understanding clinic performance and promoting profitability.
  • Travel within the region and occasionally beyond as required by business needs.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and risk-based decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, professional standards, and regulations.
 
Travel Health Nurse or Pharmacist Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
  • Registered Nurse or Pharmacist.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to make independent and supported clinical decisions.
  • Understanding of evidence-based best practices.
Desirable:
  • Diploma in Travel Medicine.
  • Experience in occupational health.
  • Registered Manager experience with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Full driving license.
