About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ward Manager to join our team in Norfolk. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within our service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of high standards of care.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ward, including patient care, staff management, and administrative duties.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Manage and support the development of nursing staff through supervision, appraisal, and training.
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in an acute inpatient setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in patient care.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous managerial experience is preferred but not essential
- Acute inpatient ward experience is essential
