Outpatient Registered Nurse – Up to £35,000 – Manchester/Leeds - Multi Site (Requires travel) – Full time

We are working with a Fantastic Plastic Surgery Clinic who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care for their patients, ensuring all treatments align with regulatory guidelines and best practices. This role includes acting as a Clinical Lead, overseeing day-to-day compliance at home clinics, and supporting a smooth surgical journey for our patients.

Outpatient Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities::
  • Deliver pre- and post-operative assessments, wound care, follow-up calls, and patient check-ins.
  • Provide excellent patient service, communicating effectively with Surgeons and the wider Nursing Team.
  • Advise and support patients with clinical issues, acting as a liaison between Surgeons and Patient Care Coordinators.
  • Attend clinics within your geographical area and beyond, as required.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call team with flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Develop skills in wound care and theatre care practices.
  • Provide patient care, safeguarding, and infection control measures.
  • Manage medicines within scope of practice.
  • Conduct audits, safety checks, and incident reporting.
  • Handle patient lab results and ensure appropriate follow-up treatments.
  • Manage clinical stock, equipment safety, and policy implementation.
  • Participate in out-of-hours on-call services.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and handle patient communications effectively.
 
Outpatient Registered Nurse Skills and Experience Required:
  • Registered Nurse with an active UK PIN (INP preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in post-operative wound care and managing clinic lists.
  • Strong independent working and excellent communication skills.
  • Aesthetics or cosmetic surgery experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and national guidelines.
  • Competency in venepuncture, with formal training in Infection Prevention & Control and/or Tissue Viability preferred.
  • Full UK driving license required.
Patient Support Responsibilities:
  • Assist with wound dressing, promoting patient dignity and respect.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments, admission calls, and baseline health monitoring.
  • Ensure clear communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
