Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for working in mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor and assess patients’ physical and mental health, reporting any changes to the appropriate team members.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC pin.
- Previous experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
