Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for a variety of ophthalmic procedures.
- Work alongside surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure smooth theatre operations.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ophthalmic patients.
- Ensure that the theatre environment is compliant with infection control and safety protocols.
- Qualifications: NMC Registered Nurse with experience in ophthalmic theatre care.
- Experience: Previous theatre experience, ideally in ophthalmology or related surgical specialities.
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
