Are you looking for a rewarding role in a supportive, independent practice where you can make a real difference? We’re seeking a Vet Surgeon to join our close-knit team at our Brierley Hill, West Midlands location. With a fantastic work environment and a team that has been together since 2017, this is the perfect opportunity for a passionate professional who values genuine care over corporate culture.

Why Choose Us?
We are a proudly independent practice that has been making waves since opening in 2017. Unlike corporate practices, we put our clients and staff first, offering a relaxed, practical approach to veterinary care. With a low staff turnover and a Senior Vet who is also a part-time teacher at the Open University, you will have the chance to work alongside seasoned professionals who truly care about the team and their clients.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Consultations: Start your day with consultations from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a manageable afternoon schedule of 3-6 consults.
  • Care Category: Small animal care with access to x-ray facilities and an in-house blood machine for quicker diagnostics.
  • Surgical Work: You will be involved in soft tissue surgery and basic orthopaedics (e.g., minor fracture repair) – helping you further develop your skills.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE) – Competitive and rewarding.
  • Benefits: Pension scheme and more to help secure your future.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a flexible, manageable shift pattern that leaves plenty of time for your personal life.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience: We’re looking for someone with at least some professional experience in small animal practice, ideally with expertise in general consultations and soft tissue surgery.
  • Approach: A friendly, pragmatic approach to client care is key! We value clear communication and empathy, so you won’t be finding yourself shouting or questioning clients. We’re about building trust and providing a professional, supportive experience for both pets and owners.
  • Personality: We’re seeking a team player who is easy-going, approachable, and values a supportive work culture over a high-stress environment.
  • Trainees: We are open to candidates with experience, but unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas at this time.
Why This Role is Special:
  • Small, Independent Practice: Freedom from corporate pressures means you can focus on delivering the highest standard of care.
  • Incredible Team: Work alongside a team with very low turnover, all with a passion for veterinary care and long-term commitment.
  • Learning and Growth: Opportunity to work with an experienced Senior Vet and gain valuable insights from someone who teaches at the Open University.
If you’re ready to work in an environment where you’ll be valued as part of the team, enjoy meaningful work with a great work-life balance, and continue your professional growth, apply today! We’d love to hear how you can contribute to our amazing practice.

Join us, and be part of a veterinary team that truly cares.
