Job Description:

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Unit Lead to join our dedicated team in the Dementia Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dementia care, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Dementia Unit, ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including CQC standards.
- Foster effective communication with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and manage the unit's budget, resources, and staffing levels.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular staff training and development sessions.
- Conduct assessments and reviews of residents' care needs, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Handle any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with valid NMC PIN.
- Extensive experience in dementia care, with a strong understanding of best practices and current guidelines.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving care standards.
