We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse / Clinical Lead to join our specialist learning disability service team in Norfolk. This role involves providing high-quality care to male patients aged 18 years and older, who have complex mental health needs, including autism and personality disorders. The Charge Nurse / Clinical Lead will play a critical role in managing the clinical care and operational aspects of the service.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse / Clinical Lead to join our specialist learning disability service team in Norfolk. This role involves providing high-quality care to male patients aged 18 years and older, who have complex mental health needs, including autism and personality disorders. The Charge Nurse / Clinical Lead will play a critical role in managing the clinical care and operational aspects of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans and treatments.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and training to nursing staff to promote professional development and ensure high standards of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain and improve the quality of care provided.
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth and safe transition.
- Act as a point of contact for patients, families, and external agencies, providing support and information as required.
- Participate in clinical governance and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
- Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a valid NMC pin.
- Significant experience in a mental health setting, preferably within a rehabilitation or low secure environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and personality disorders.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current best practices in mental health care.
- Competitive salary up to £43,861.71 per annum.
