RVN Role - Independent Practice - From £30,000 - Herefordshire 

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £30,000+ (experience dependent) A well-established, independent small animal hospital in Hertfordshire is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their team. This busy practice offers a supportive and friendly working environment with a broad caseload and opportunities for hands-on nursing care.
The Practice This privately owned, small animal hospital and training practice has a team of over 40 veterinary staff. The clinic is equipped with modern facilities including:

• Separate hospital and medical wards
• A theatre suite and dental suite
• Digital x-ray
• In-house laboratory
• Ultrasound, endoscopy, and hydrotherapy treadmill

The Role The position is full-time, averaging 40 hours per week over a 9-week rolling rota. This includes one night shift per week and 1 in 9 weekends. The role will involve:

• Providing inpatient care
• Assisting with anaesthesia and surgery
• Supporting vets in consultations and diagnostic work
• Working within a varied caseload including hydrotherapy

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred (newly qualified RVNs with emergency/OOH experience may also be considered)
• A team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends as part of the rota
