A dynamic independent veterinary practice in Truro is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their friendly and supportive team. The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available, allowing you to balance your career and lifestyle effectively.

About the Practice: The practice offers round-the-clock care, emphasizing a personal touch and commitment to exceptional outcomes for pets. The facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment, including digital wireless X-rays, handheld ultrasound, and bronchoscopy, with laparoscopy equipment arriving soon.

Role Highlights:
  • Opportunity to participate in specialist service days, including orthopaedics, imaging, reproduction, and behaviour.
  • Access to VetCT Teleconsulting for 24/7 support, allowing you to deliver advanced clinical care.
  • Nurse-led ops days featuring Schedule 3 procedures alongside vet surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including consultations and inpatient care.
  • Assist in the development of specific practice areas if desired (e.g., ECC or behaviour).
  • Support holistic care approaches, including nutritional advice (optional).
  • Contribute to maintaining a relaxed, organized rota ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, providing emergency support when needed.

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE).
  • Holiday: 28 days (for 40 hours/week) with pro-rata for part-time.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS preferred).
  • Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
