Job Title: Senior Staff Nurse (RMN)
Location: Nottinghamshire
Shift: Mixed days and nights
Salary: £39,511.68 - £42,073.20 DOE
Job Type: Permanent
Patient Group: Males and Females with a wide range of mental health conditions
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an inpatient acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor and manage patients' physical and mental health conditions
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to junior nursing staff and healthcare assistants
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development programs
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification
- Valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration
- Proven experience working in a similar role within an inpatient acute or PICU setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of mental health conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Leadership and management skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
